The Mauler system is the most fundamental and accessible combination, making it the go-to choice for most players, whether they are starting out or pushing through challenging stages. Although the system's strength may decrease as the season progresses, this decline typically occurs in the later stages of the game, which does not significantly impact its current position as the mainstream strategy for progression.


Team Composition Strategy 

The Mauler system's team setup is straightforward and usually follows this configuration:

  • 1 Frontline Tank

  • 2 Supports

  • 1 Core Damage Dealer

  • 1 Flexible Slot (adjust based on needs)


Core Trio 

The key to this system lies in its economical and effective core trio, which can perform near their full potential even without advancements:

  • Tank: Provides defense and survivability.

  • Healer: Offers healing and energy restoration.

  • Damage Mitigation Support: Reduces overall damage taken by the team and provides buffs.

Among these, Antendra (Panther Lady) and Koko can be exchanged from the Nightmare Shop, while Smokey and Meerky (Healer Dad) need to be obtained through summoning, so it's recommended to prioritize pulling Smokey and Meerky at the start.


Core Damage Dealer The core damage dealer typically consists of one of the following:

  • Cecia (Thorny): Suitable for most progression scenarios.

  • Odie: Becomes optimal after reaching Mythic+ and is especially effective against late-game high-difficulty enemies and extreme pushes.

Flexible Slot Selection The fifth slot can be flexibly chosen based on the difficulty of the stage and team needs:

  • Rowan (Merchant): Provides energy recharge and instant healing.

  • Lucius: A frontline tank that offers area shields.

  • Brutus (Lion): Grants immunity to death when low on health, buying time for teammates.

  • Odie: As a secondary damage dealer, can be used to prioritize specific enemy targets without needing to reach Mythic+.

  • Florabelle (Teacher): A secondary damage dealer, pairs well with Cecia in summoner builds.

  • Thoran (Bone King): Serves as the main tank, sharing the burden or replacing Antendra.

  • Hewynn (Lily Pad): Provides group healing and damage reduction, useful against high burst damage enemies.

The Wilder Control team is a system with a higher ceiling but relatively higher costs. This system reduces enemy DPS by deploying control-oriented characters while delivering substantial damage. The core of this system revolves around Wilder characters Eironn (Green Sword) and Arden (Old Ram), hence the name "Wilder Control Team."


Basic Composition Requirements

  • Eironn (Green Sword): The absolute core of the system, with a minimum requirement of Mythic+, reaching its full potential at Pinnacle+ and Weapon+10.

  • Arden (Old Ram): Another core character with the same requirements as Eironn, needing at least Mythic+, Pinnacle+, and Weapon+10.

  • Ulmus (Treant): The strongest tank in the system, capable of extending control durations, with a minimum requirement of Mythic+.

  • Thoran (Bone King): Mainly used to protect Eironn, enhancing its survivability, with a minimum requirement of Mythic+.

  • Granny Dahnie (Granny): A counter-tank that heals with her ultimate and reduces nearby enemies' energy, recommended at Mythic+.

  • Carolina (Snow Maiden): A commonly used core damage dealer with a minimum requirement of Mythic+.

  • Florabelle (Teacher): A frequently used damage dealer, with Weapon+10 significantly enhancing her effectiveness, recommended at Mythic+.

  • Rowan (Merchant): Provides energy recharge and instant healing, suitable for all situations.

  • Temesia (Lady Knight): A counter-tank that, when paired with Ulmus, creates seamless control, recommended at Mythic+.

  • Damian (Young Ram): A dedicated healer, without Weapon lacks group healing, with a minimum requirement of Mythic+.

  • Hewynn (Lily Pad): Provides group healing and ultimate damage reduction, particularly useful against burst damage.

  • Reinier (Four Hands): Can swap threatening backline enemies, with a minimum requirement of Mythic+.

Team Flexibility and Examples The Wilder Control Team is highly flexible, and the remaining three slots can be filled based on specific scenarios. Here are some common team examples:

Scenario 1 - No Special Mechanisms, Just Timed Kills:

Composition: 1 Tank + 2 Damage Dealers or 1 Damage Dealer + 1 Support.

Recommendation: Replace Thoran with Ulmus to extend Eironn's control time, or use Rowan to increase ultimate frequency.

Increase the team's survivability to survive the first wave of bursts. The best method is placing Hewynn in the last slot and equipping her with the Flowing Surge ultimate (a post-season Echo), or adding an extra Rowan to accelerate energy recharge.

System 3: Healer Dad

The core strategy of the Healer Dad team is to fully utilize Smokey and Meerky's (Healer Dad) special weapon's incense upgrade effect, causing enemies within range to lose health over time. This team configuration aims to protect Healer Dad until his ultimate is upgraded, unleashing powerful true damage, making it particularly effective against enemies with much higher combat power. As the season progresses and pushing stages exceed 1000, enemies become increasingly difficult to deal with, making the "Four Protect One Healer Dad" team the mainstream strategy for late-stage progression.


Team Examples

Scenario 1 - Standard Configuration:

This is the most basic setup, usually consisting of 1 tank and multiple healers and support roles to ensure Healer Dad can consistently release his ultimate during battles.

Scenario 2 - Healer Dad's Damage Is Insufficient to Eliminate All Enemies:

When Healer Dad's damage is lacking, consider bringing Starfall or adding Odie as a secondary damage dealer. Typically, manually cast Odie's ultimate on enemies not marked by Healer Dad's execute line to supplement damage and help Healer Dad eliminate enemies early.

Scenario 3 - Terrain Constraints/High Enemy Mobility/Enemies Positioned in the Backline:

In situations where enemies are out of Healer Dad's ultimate range due to terrain or mobility, consider adding Eironn (Green Sword). When Healer Dad is about to release his enhanced ultimate, manually cast Eironn's ultimate to pull enemies into Healer Dad's ultimate range, ensuring maximum damage output.

System 4: Axe Goddess

The core of the Axe Goddess team lies in Scarlita's (Axe Goddess) powerful abilities. This system has two primary development directions:

  1. High-End Route: When Scarlita reaches a high level (Weapon+10, Pinnacle+), she can serve as the team's core damage dealer. At this point, Scarlita's combat power will greatly increase, enabling her to deal massive damage on the battlefield.

  2. Low-End Route: When Scarlita is at a lower level (Mythic+ or below, even as a single card), she primarily serves as a shield support role. It should be noted that low-level Scarlita is mainly effective in the later stages of the season when seasonal skills provide the entire team with increased haste and damage bonuses.

Scarlita (Axe Goddess)-AFK Journey

Scarlita's strength is closely tied to the number of surviving teammates. Before the battle begins, she continuously provides shields to the teammate with the lowest health. After jumping into the fray, she strengthens herself based on the number of surviving teammates. Therefore, teammate selection in the Axe Goddess team should focus on survivability and error tolerance.


Team Examples

Green Sword Control Team:

In this setup, Scarlita can replace the damage dealer role (e.g., Carolina or Florabelle) in the Green Sword Control Team, or even take over the tank role. Since Eironn (Green Sword) already has a shield skill, combined with the continuous shields provided by Scarlita (Axe Goddess), Eironn can effectively serve as a tank when needed.

Four Protect One Axe Goddess Team:
