Elden Ring Rune Farming Guide: Earn 100k Runes per Minute in Shadowlands

Discover the best new rune farming spot in Elden Ring's Shadowlands DLC. Follow our step-by-step guide to earn 100,000 runes per minute using the Fire Giant's powerful attacks.

In Elden Ring, there are numerous ways to farm runes, with the most well-known method being the Mohg Bank. However, with the release of the DLC "Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree," a new map area called the Shadowlands has opened up, providing a new and efficient way to farm runes. By simply moving back and forth and using Sites of Grace, you can earn around 100,000 runes in just one minute! Here is a detailed guide:

Essential Equipment

  • Gold Scarab (Talisman): Increases the runes obtained from defeating enemies.

New Farming Location

The new farming spot is located at the top of the Shadowlands in Loughras Ruins. First, teleport to the "Loughras Ruins (East)" Site of Grace. From the Site of Grace, you will see a bridge to the left with many enemies on it.

Farming Steps

Positioning: Stand at the designated spot where you can see a Fire Giant emerging from the ground across the bridge and attacking directly towards you.

Just stand in the red circle.

Triggering the Fire Giant’s Attack: The Fire Giant’s attack has a wide range and can kill all the enemies on the bridge in one go, earning you about 20,000 runes each time.

Utilizing the Site of Grace: Since the Site of Grace is nearby, immediately sit back at the Site of Grace after the Fire Giant spews fire. This will refresh the enemies, but the fire damage remains, allowing the Fire Giant to hit two waves of enemies in one attack, resulting in around 50,000 runes.

It's a fairly efficient but fun way to farm runes.

Efficiency and Limitations

While this method may not be as efficient as the Mohg Bank, it is a fun and easy new way to farm runes. However, for players who have already defeated the Fire Giant in this area, this method will not be available.

Summary

This new farming method provides players with more options in "Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree," especially while exploring the new Shadowlands map. If you haven’t defeated the Fire Giant yet, give this simple and efficient rune farming method a try!
