Solitaire is a classic card game that has been enjoyed by people all over the world for centuries. The goal of the game is to arrange all of the cards in the tableau piles and the talon pile into four foundation piles, one for each suit.
Game Rules
Solitaire is played with a standard 52-card deck, excluding the jokers. To start the game, 28 cards are dealt face down into seven tableau piles, starting with one card in the first pile and increasing to seven cards in the seventh pile. The remaining 24 cards are dealt face up in the talon pile.
Players can move cards around the tableau and foundation piles according to the following rules:
A single card can be moved from one tableau pile to another if the top card of the destination pile is one rank lower and the opposite color of the top card of the source pile.
A sequence of cards can be moved from one tableau pile to another if all of the cards in the sequence are the same color and the top card of the sequence is one rank lower than the top card of the destination pile.
A single card can be moved from the talon pile to a foundation pile if it is the same suit as the top card of the foundation pile or if it is the first card being moved to the foundation pile.
