Recently, a netizen had a whimsical idea and used AI to enhance the resolution of the 8 x 8 Minecraft icon. The result? Two muscular men?
The incident originated from a Japanese netizen, @Tsutsui0524, who recently shared on their personal X (Twitter) account, posting the icon of "Minecraft" on iOS's Bedrock Edition, and saying: "My dad thought the 'Minecraft' icon was pixelated, it's hilarious."
Others responded: "If you squint your eyes, you'll see two muscular men appear (in ACG, 'brother' refers to 'muscular men')" and posted a picture of the classic PS2 game "超兄貴-聖なるプロテイン伝説"(Cho aniki)". Finally, even the original poster was affected, believing that the picture on "Minecraft" was becoming more and more like bodybuilders.
So a few days later, the original poster posted a new tweet again. He said that he raised the resolution of the 8 x 8 pixel icon of "Minecraft". With the help of AI, it seemed that from the original 80% > 60% > 30% pixelation, it became clearer and clearer, until finally reaching 0%, where two bronze-skinned bodybuilders appeared directly, standing in the forest.
This tweet quickly went viral on the Internet, gaining over 3.9 million views and more than 80,000 likes. Netizens commented: "I get it now. So it means Mine (confident body) Craft (creation)", "You mean all the dirt blocks are brothers", "This is a brother game, no wonder players can punch trees bare-handed", "No wonder it needs to be pixelated", "As long as you have muscles, you can solve everything", "Now I will see brothers when I close my eyes...".
